On August 23-25, the International Music Festival Koktebel Jazz Party was held. This year, its participants were famous Russian bands and foreign guests, whose names were kept secret until the start of the event.
The XVII season of jazz in Koktebel was opened by Dmitry Kiselev, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Music Festival Koktebel Jazz Party, and Sergey Aksenov, the Head of the Republic of Crimea, who noted the Jazz Festival as one of the most important international cultural events of the peninsula.
Many fans of jazz were pleased with a large number of famous artists from Russia, the USA, Germany and other countries. Singer Yulia Chicherina performed at the festival in an unusual style. Her songs were performed for the first time in jazz arrangement. And one of the brightest foreign stars of Koktebel Jazz Party was the six-time winner of the Grammy Award - legendary trumpeter Randy Brecker.
